Virus Control says: audio driver failed

im using cubase 5 and virus control with the latest drivers (not beta). most of the time it works fine, but sometimes i try to open virus control and it says audio driver failed.

mostly it seems to happen if i close down cubase to do something else, then re-open it. when i re-open cubase, virus control gives me that message

Are you on Mac or PC and what other USB devices are connected to your setup?
Also it would be of interest to know whether you use the TI in a different application when you start Cubase again afterwards?

Best wishes,

thanks for your reply jorg,

im using a pc, latest update of cubase 5, and the only other usb device is a novation remote 61 sl.

if i close cubase, its only to use windows explorer and notepad and stuff, no other music programs. when i re-open cubase, i load up exactly the same project and the virus wont connect.

Have you ever tried to install the TI drivers for a different USB port to see if this makes any difference?

Best wishes,

That didnt work, unfortunately. Before I tried changing USB port I noticed that in 2 of the projects I have used the virus in, Virus Control won't work at all.

I tried changing the USB port and re-installing the drivers but made no difference.
