Virus TI2 & Logic 9 midi question

I'm using Virus TI2 as a AU instrument with the 3xUSB outputs.
When i create a new Instrument track & assign VIrus TI to it i have to create 2x aux channels and assign the input to 3-4 & 5-6 outputs from Virus in order to get 3 channels out of Virus.
Now, when i try and record, this is what happens:
Channel 1 has its own channel record so i can edit the midi notes on piano roll, when i record AUX1 & AUX2 it drops the Midi notes on a new piano roll overlapping the Channel 1, not on a separated arrange.
I want to know if it is possible to get AUX1 & AUX2 to have their own piano roll arrangement for midi so i don't have to merge everything into one piano roll.

Thanks if anyone has any ideas

Open up a multi-timbrel instrument - 3 channels.

Open up a multi-timbrel instrument - 3 channels.

The best way I have found by far to handle this is to create a multi-instrument in the environment and cable it to the TI audio instrument track. That way, you don't end up with 16(!) virus TI channels cluttering up your environment, among other problems.

Simply open up a multi-timbrel Instrument with 3 channels in the arrange page (you don't have to have 16 channels)

Liam, problem with this is that all channels share settings, and output, is there a way to make each channel independent from each other so i can modify volume, etc?

ya instead of adding plugins etc in the arrange page just do it on the aux channels in the mixer.
