Virus TI USB Problem

  • My Virus TI gives out an error like this when i plug it in on my MacPro:

"A usb device is currently drawing too much power. That usb hub will be disconnected."

So i cannot use it like that. Can you help me?

My machine is 2x2.66 Dual Core intel MacPro with 5 gb rams.

    Thanks.

  • u did wire ur notebook did u? otherwise it is logical.

the 18 kgs machine (still with no lcd built in...) can hardly be called a notebook... ;)
there are built-in hubs as well, not necessarily an external hub here.

  • hi,

the error is being thrown by MacOS, not by the Virus TI. the way i read it is that the sum of all devices on that hub exceeds the maximum power provided. does the behavior change, when you use e.g. a front USB port instead of a port on the back?

    best, marc

  • I tried back and front usb ports , but still problem is happening... Yes I agree with you, problem is on mac, it has not enough power... How can I solve this problem? Thanks for your helps...
