Are there any plans for using the extra DSP power on the new product line?

Well it's already in use! I cannot run more than 6-8 patches simultaneously in a project so actually more power would be welcome.
But I'm still very happy

I really do hope they don't introduce any obsolescence in the TI1 just for now - something tells me that the TI1 still has a little room to spare, anyway...

we have no plans to treat the TI1 differently to the TI2 when it comes to software updates. the only thing that _might_ happen is that future algorithms are more CPU hungry (because there is a platform now which copes with it) but that's all speculations. we save every CPU cycle possible anyway.
