Does anyone know any basic tips how to program anything anywhere close to TB 303 sounds
or not even emulate the sounds but just understand some of the parameters to try to make acid bass lines?

if you get a schematic of the signal flow of a tb303 you will get a basic understanding of how the sequencer affects the sound
then just program your 16steps or whatever in the same way
eg single trigger notes have to be cut short 1 32nd step
two different velocities (normal and accent) 75 and 127
and legato for the glides
build a basic patch in the virus and use this a a start for all the other tb patches
