Can't hear each part?

    Hi,
    just received my new snow and still trying to get my head around a few things. If anyone has any ideas of what I am doing wrong or need to do it would be much appreciated.


    - Cannot hear each part on logic, have loaded sounds to each of the 4 parts but can't hear them individually or together.
    - How do you change the modes?


    I am still confused as to how the virus control works with logic 8.02,
    - how can I assign each part to an individual track?
    - I may be stating the obvious here but can you only assign 4 parts in one project?

    Can play up to 16 parts per project with only the one instance per project.
    ie: 16 midi tracks for each 16 parts.


    Or load as an instrument track , again only one instance per project.
    ie: 1 instrument track , but can layer different parts on the 1 track.

    Load into Logic as multi-timbral this should give you 16 midi tracks
    Each midi track is each part. ie: midi 1 is part 1 , midi 2 is part 2 etc etc


    Have you got record buttons on for each midi track in logic !!
    Are your outputs in USB ? in the Virus.
    Which modes do you want to change ?


    I'm on imac 10.5.8 + logic 9 using Virus Ti desktop.


    Need a little bit more info ie: What your using in setup ?

    Thanks for that, got a better idea now but still don't know:



    - how to get 16 parts from the snow onto logic can only see how you get 4 parts.


    - Also do you have to load multi timbral tracks to get the parts assigned from the snow to logic.


    - Do you have to have multi mode set to do the above. (worked out you need virus control disconnected to change modes).

    Sorry about that , there is only 4 parts in Virus snow.
    I use Virus Ti Desktop that has 16 parts.


    Do a search here (Forum) about snow.
    As others have had the same problems as you.
    That will show the work arounds for you !
    2 ways to work VC Control or Standalone hands on , old school.

    Thanks for that I am slowly understanding, help is appreciated.
    Are there any tutorials about this stuff ie, understanding how to get the most out of the outputs on virus control, still unsure about the different output options, what they're used for etc.

    Open up Virus Control & hit on the ( ? ) in the bottom right hand corner
    then should be able to see all documents / manuals
    Or on imac will be in your......Apps / Access Music / Virus Ti or Snow / Documents / Manuals
    Also look at Tutorials (in same area) there is a Logic one in there.


    Man if I started without the tutorials / manuals , I'd be lost to !! ;)
