  • heard he has done some dnb patches similar to alien girl, just wanted to check them out but can find anywhere

any-one hav them or links to it?

also---apparently the virus rack had a preset on it based on alien girl (ed rush and optical)...is there a way to download this on to the ti?

    Notes:
    1. How does it get that bawwwahh sound (almost like it's two notes)?

You are relying on two key things. Notice lfo2's modulation of the filters. This setting makes the filter rise in the shape of a triangle. But, it's not a perfect triangle (hence the lfo2 contour). Be sure to make each note trigger a new lfo cycle (trigphase). The filter attack is important as well.

    2. Why the soft knob assignments? Here's what they do:

modwheel - turning this up will increase the cutoff. Parts of the original track do this during certain points.

contr9 - using this controller will zero out the lfos modulation of the cutoff. I did this so that you could get rid of the bawwwahh sound if you want to.

contr3 - Turning this controller all the way will give you the slowed down type sound you hear in the last two notes.

Please realize that these modulation matrix controllers somewhat arbitrary, and you can assign whatever you want to control these. For example, you could change contr3 to foot pedal if you wanted.
