I want to copy a preset arp and edit it but the only way I can edit is to select a user pattern therefore losing the preset.
What if i want to edit pattern 2?
How do you edit the preset arps?

Can this not be done? I want to see and edit the arp patterns 1,2,3, etc.
-
Unfortunately this cannot be done. I asked about this years ago and the reply was that it could not be done, some sort of 'technical limitation'.

How could it be a technical limitation? ReFX Vanguard has preset arps which you can edit.

This is a completely different product and therefore this doesn't reflect what the Virus can or cannot do.
Besides this the Virus is still a hardware synth and not a pure software plugin, which makes still a big difference.Best wishes,

Ok but can you please explain why we can't see or edit the arp patterns in Virus control? I don't understand what the big deal is
but if you can offer an explanation maybe I will get it. -

the "old" preset arp patterns do have a different format internally and in some parts it is a little bit more flexible. for instance, those old patterns can be longer among other things. they just do not transfer well to the user editable arp.
