when i select a patch with the VC from the analogue outs everything is fine....but as soon as i select an init patch the sound dissapears from the right channel on the main outs..??....i have checked the connections and its not the cables....pretty sure its something simple...any ideas??...thanks.

sorry wasnt clear...when i select a patch from VC the sound is on both channels of the main outs...but when i go to an init patch the right channel drops out.

and you're sure the init patch you are using has not been accidentally altered in some way (e.g. the pan set or something)?

sorted the problem was a toggle mono/stereo selector in the routing matrix of my interface....
