TI Display LED BAcklight too dim?

  • i bought my TI v1 keyboard when it 1st came out.

as far i can remember , the backlight of the TI has been kinda dim compared to other TIs ive seen.

the other lights are bright compared to the main display.

you can still see everything, and all works fine. other lights are good... the logo blinks pretty bright etc.

im wondering if i changed the back light by mistake cause now i cant figure out how to change.

(fyi: not LCD contrast. its the back light brightness)

  • The lcd mite need to be replaced. I don't think there is anything else you can do.I would ask access about it. I have the mk1 model also. I got it in 2007 though. Mine is very bright and easy to read. I am interested in finding out this info. So if you find out anything please lemme know. Hope everything works out for ya.

  • thanks!

maybe thats it. but as you said... if i dunno what im doing...

im going to take it to service rep in my area.

virus support was a bit.... dumb.

    this was their email response:

"It is only possible to change the brightness of the LEDs of the TI units, but not the backlight LED of the display. There's no setting for that and this doesn't match the LEDs brightness - this is a different thing than the single LEDs for LFO functions, etc."

isnt that the most DUH answer ever?

    thank god for forums. :)
