Using Virus TI with External Hardware Sequencer

    Hello,


    How can I trigger the Virus TI KB from a HW Sequencer without USB or Computer ? My understanding is that the MIDI jacks act as the MIDI Interface (Virus TI MIDI) and bypasses the sound engine. Can I route the MIDI In jack to the sound engine (Virus TI Synth)?


    I am running OS 4.5.3

    For multitimbral operation, use Multi mode. In order for your intended setup to work, you must make sure that the Viris is responding in the MIDI channels where the external sequencer is sending data. Try simple MIDI connection this way: External SeqencerIDI Out -> Virus MIDI In

    Yep... That is the first thing I tried... I can get it to work when using a computer to route the midi in (Virus TI Midi) ---> Computer --> USB (Virus TI Synth). I am trying not to use the computer
