Oh... the age old question... I know people who have one main kill switch for all of their studio equipment, and I don't know of any special problems they are facing. On top of that, the regulated power converter supplied with the Virus is supposed to be designed to protect the Virus from spikes and surges, so my guess is that the power supply will die before the Virus does. But still, I would like to get an official answer to this as well.

not at all. in fact i do prefer that.

well if you mean pulling the switch while the virus is on that would be not so wise. if you put in standby then ofcourse you can switch off the power from your power switch.
It just doesnt feel right to pull the plug while it is online. to me it feels like pulling the powercord while your computer is running. can't be good.
It hurts me just to turn my Virus off at all
