New user TI2 desktop.

    New ti2 user, first post.


    Not near my Manual and couldn't find anything on a search. Just wondering if the TI plugin can be used as a stand alone plugin with the virus IE no sequencer.


    Also just thought I'd say I'm blown away by the quality of the machine up to now. Had one pretty major glitch yesterday though going through presets (using audition) but its been fine since.

    VC does not work standalone, however there are many free vst host that you can use.. mini-host http://tobybear.de/p_minihost.html, vsthost http://hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm and cantabile lite http://www.cantabilesoftware.com/lite/ are examples

    Sumething similar happened to me once - I browsed and auditioned, and came to a point where I pressed it for a long time to get a held note, but then flipped to the next patch while it was playing and the Virus went nuts... How did it happen in your case?

    ^ yeah this is it I Sussed out. Basically holding audition for about 2 seconds holds the note but moving to the next preset doesn't cancel the note. Not sure if this is a feature of some kind but basically the sounds stack up untill its back goes....


    Somebody on the elektron forum confirmed maxing out the CPU causes this behaviour.

    Second thing I've come across is seemingly random control changes where whole sections start controlling different things.... Ill be honest I've only had time to read the quick start manual so sorry if this is a feature.... Last night the whole filter section started controlling the vocoder parameters and the night before the AMP ENV was controlling the ARP settings....


    Wasn't any sign of how I got in or out of this. Ill search the Manual but haven't got my comp available this morning. Just I phone. ^^

    thanks for the response flabberbob.... Maybe this will help you too if you haven't read the manual either? It wasn't in Remote mode, thats fairly obvious as it tells you on the screen. The answer to the filter controlling the voc came to me as soon as i posted but haven't been able to get back online....


    Basically the filter bank becomes/is disabled when the the voc is active so it makes sense the the filter bank controls voc params.... Im guessing now there is a similar mode for the arp being controlled from the amp env? Ill find out when i can get to the manual.


    The i phone can read manuals your correct but needs to download them and im back at the computer now anyway.
