hello, im using a virus ti2 keyboard edition with ableton live 8, while turning midi map mode switch "on" trying to have ableton read a certain knob control so i can automate it, moving the knob itself doesnt turn on the "in indicator", the ableton led turns on only when i rotate a knob while pressing a key.. anyone?

i have the same problem!!! what's the ti software version you use? and ableton version?

Map what controls? Controls of other instruments? If so you may have to enable "remote mode" (shift+config on the virus) else-wise I cannot say.

Not other controls, the virus knobs.
For ex: if you want to automate the filter cutoff of channel 3 on the virus you can't!
ableton doesn't recognize the automation...
very strange... both on AU and VST... -
