Weird crackling sound

    Anyone know if there is a software problem or hardware problem with my Virus TI2 Desktop (latest OS):


    Since I bought the TI2 a couple of months ago, I seem to have these crackles here and there when I play the synth. It's currently directly connected to my midi controller keyboard and audio goes from the first stereo out straight into the mixer. No other connections are currently in use. I notice these crackles best when I play pads. I know that too complex pads might cause note drops, but this doesn't sound like it. This is a fairly loud "crack" sound. I can't reproduce this crackle by pressing lots of notes down really fast so it must not be caused by the number of playing notes.


    Any ideas?

    Sometimes when I integrate into Logic 9 I get strange distortion. It's crackling with distortion and a delay effect to it. I just power off the virus (both Transpose buttons) and then hold Edit in the Arp section to reset it. That usually does the trick for me.
