Virus iTI - iPad Total Integration (audio+midi controller) ?

    Let's face it... iPad is evolving in something really great to make music with... but at the moment if you want to play an iPad through a good audio card and midi controller you have to connect a lot of cables.


    Well our viruses TI can be connected to iPad via USB and we'll have our iPad audio running through the virus TI audio card... this is great... but wait... virus ti keyboard is not working as a controller too... why ?


    The virus TI is class compliant.. the ipad is class compliant but only the audio card is working through usb... what a pity... is there anything you can do in software to send keyboard, wheels and knobs to the ipad ?


    At the moment only m-audio Venom and the Xio Synth works as full controller/audio with ipad... but... who care about Venom and Xio when you have a Virus TI ?

    if the protocol defining how the virus transmits over USB were publicly available, i'm sure someone would have developed an app by now. If the virus audio card shows up as a class compliant USB audio device, the MIDI portion of it might not be class compliant. Best course of action is to find an app that'll display all packet data coming in from a port, and see what the virus transmits whenever you press a key or move a knob/wheel.
