Mouse scroll wheel in VC

Hi,
Is it possible to use the scroll wheel to edit parameters in VC using ableton live 9.0.3?
This used to work fine in renoise.
I use windows 7.

Thanks. So it should be possible.. hmm. What can it be. My vst effects do work with the scroll wheel.
Anybody got an idea??
