i don't think that's a 10.9 specific problem and you should work with support on solving it. i haven't seen this here so far when testing against 10.9

Hi Marc! Thank you for your support here on the forum. Are there any news about the hotfix driver?

Gotta agree, I'm getting really frustrated that my studio monitors are just wasted space at the moment. Access are burning up a whole load of goodwill here.

guys, you are "shooting the messenger"
as marc pointed out, its ploytec that provide the audio driver (they do for a number of companies),
they obviously have not delivered yet,
in fact, if you go to their website, you will see they are working on it:
http://www.usb-audio.com/download.htmlClick here to download the demo driver for Mac OS X 10.4-10.8
May, 14th 2013, V2.2.4, 2555KB
This driver doesn't work yet with Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). There'll be an update in November.Im sure Access (along with others) are requesting it from them... but they will not release until it they have tested and know its works (quite rightly!)
-
Nobody here has 'shot the messenger', we're simply letting Access know that we're frustrated by the delay in getting our Virii to work with Mavericks. I didn't pay Ploytec $3k for my Virus, I paid Access and so I'll continue to deal with Access when problems arise and I'll let them pass that pressure onto whichever driver company they chose to use.
That aside, I don't see any mention of Virus or Access in the list of hardware supported by the driver you linked to so that isn't very reassuring either.

http://www.usb-audio.com - "Companies including Access, AKAI, Alesis, Allen&Heath.....", there is also pictures of the Virus on the links page too ... with the caption : " Some great external soundcards that ship with the Ploytec USB ASIO driver bundled:"
(the download was for the generic driver, which just happened to contain the warning)@Access/Marc - would the generic ploytec driver work with the Virus? (obviously not on Mavericks at the moment!)

the outputs only do not work if you use e.g. itunes or VLC - if you use a sequencer program like logic, the do work. which configuration does not work for you?

you're totally entitled to vent. pls see my other post re. your actual problem.

Does this version work with the virus?
it may be the virus has a special build of the driver,
But good news anyway, as means access will no doubt get a version soon -

is there already a sollutrion from access??? we are more then a month further.
If there is a beta driver i can test it. with presonus studio one v2.6 -
Since these guys are re-writing the USB driver, maybe it's a good opportunity to get them to test out some of these odd issues people sometimes have.
I know Access hasn't been able to recreate many of them in their testing lab, but maybe these guys can? Since they're taking so long, and since they decided to wait until after Mavericks was released instead of the 3-month beta period when they were supposed to do this.
Some guidelines they could use to test the fringe cases: instead of hooking up a Virus to a Mac and calling that the test environment...why not test it like how REAL, working music producers use it. Plug in the Virus, a Maschine, couple other USB synths, external hard drives, a FireWire audio interface, THEN see if it works flawlessly. In other words, get them to do some "real world testing" for once.

By "these guys" I mean Polytech or whatever they're called.
