So now i have tried all my technical capabilities but still same. After number of re-installs, hours of goggling, twist and turns the AU plugin just doesn't work.
Mavericks Users?

Ok... I thought I'd give it a go and it worked....Solved for me....
I was on the official 5.03, I downloaded and installed public beta firmware 5.0.4.02 and no distorted noise anymore. All patches are working fine.
-
So i decided to make the drastic decision to revert back to OSX ML with Time Machine.
Fired up LPX and started the Virus AU and it told me that the OS wasn't compatible with my Virus and needed to be updated???
I launched the VCC and it wants to "update" or downgrade from 5.0.4.02 to 5.0.2.01
-
Ok so i did the "downgrade" as it told me.
So i have reverted to OSX ML and the Virus OS to 5.0.2.01 and everything is back to normal.. *phew*!! Not doing that again

OnovaMusic - glad that you're up and running again

I'm using my Ti as sound device when i travel and i definately dont wanna downgrade to ML because of some features on the mavericks update such as battery and ram efficiency. When may we reckon on an solution/update???
-
it is there an estimate for a release date update vst

there is a problem with using the virus as a core audio sound device. if you need that functionality, please do not update to 10.9 for now. i'll post an update once i know more.
best, marcHi guys,
Any update on this as yet and any ideas as to when Virus users can start to use Their TI's as sound cards again?
Look forward to hearing a response
Best

Hi,
I will get my TI back from repair tomorrow and am quite eager to put my hands on it again. However I use it as audio card, and sadly I updated to maverick before I read the Email with the warning.
So I am also interested in a quick update that gets that fixed, and wanted to ask, if an Email will be sent out again, once the update is available?
cheers

here's an update for you:
ploytec, the company who supplies the audio driver estimates 1-2 weeks for a hotfix. this hotfix will not be ideal in terms of latency etc. but it will get some of you up and running again. a new driver with a proper interface to 10.9 will take more time (think 1-2 month).
in order to speed up the process, we will supply beta versions once we will receive something but we cannot test them extensively (because it takes time...). right now i can only relay messages and be as open as possible. so don't shoot the messenger please.
sorry, i wish i would have better news for you. marc -
I just got a new computer with Mavericks pre-installed; I cannot save any patches. I don't see 'personal Libraries' in the save dialog, and creating an empty library does not work. Has anyone seen that? I'm running 5.0.3., and using Abelton Live 9 as a DAW.
Also, I note I *can* load patches I created on the old computer. 'Personal Libraries' shows up on 'the load side'.

I managed to fix this, so if you run across this problem...
1) Create some new patch in live-- it doesn't matter what.
2) Save the live project-- this will include your new patch, since Live saves the state of the VST
3) Transfer the project to a computer which is not running Mavericks
4) Open it in Live on this other computer
5) Save the patch in the VST
6) Transfer the newly saved 'My Patches' or whatever you call it to the Mavericks machine
7) Lo and behold, your 'save' will now contain personal librariesNot the most efficient thing, but it did fix it.

same for me. updated to mavericks and now i've the kernel with strange sound problem. looking forward to a solution
-
Hope the hotfix coming anytime soon!
-
Also keeping an eye on this one.
Luckily, I've no live gigs involving Virus as sound card in the next month or two.
In the New Year though, I've got several gigs coming up where I'll either have to drop back a version of OSX or hopefully there'll be an update to the Virus drivers.

New Mavericks owner here too, hanging out for the fix big time!
