Post your setup

  • Because the Virus TI's performance depends so much on the host, I thought it would be a great idea for us to post our system configurations as well as the system performance. I thought it might help us users to see what other configurations are being used as well as pinpointing possible problems with other devices.

Wasn't sure where I should put this, so feel free to move it if you think it belongs in a different forum.

    System Performance
Great! Everything runs very smoothly. I've had this system for over 6 months now and have had no problems at all. I work in multimedia so I use the system for at least 8 hours a day and have not had any BSODs or any other crashing.

    Virus TI Performance
Not able to set system performance above "Normal" giving me a total latency of 37.3 seconds. Would like to see this improve. I have a hunch that this may have to do with my peripheral devices (The Roland GI-20 or UAD-1)
Other than that, everything runs very smoothly. Occasionally, however, the windows drivers quit working. This is usually after watching a DVD or movie at 48000 and then switching back to 44.1.
Virus Control runs very smoothly. Work flow is very fluid.

    Overview
Other than somewhat high latency, everything runs great.
