40 year old "virgin" ;)

  • Hello,

I have been a music lover for as long as I can remember but I've never taken the step of studying music theory or trying to make my own music...
Now, at age 40, I've decided to give it a try.
I am totally new at this and it seems to me that getting to know the "machines" I will be working with is going to be the hardest thing I've ever done...
I've acquired a Yamaha RS7000 and an Access Virus Classic desktop synthesizer to work with - software was never an option as I'm a complete disaster when it comes to computers...
Even though I consider myself to be fairly intelligent I must admit that I feel quite dumb right now as I haven't even been able to hook up both of my instruments via MIDI...
Of course, I've read both manuals and searched the internet for tutorials which hasn't helped a lot so far...
I hope these forums contain some information to put me on track and if not I will be asking a lot of noob questions in the coming weeks and months...
    kindest regards
    Stef
