I have a hybrid setup - my Virus TI is permanently connected to the PC, but most of the time is played via the hardware MIDI input.
It switches automatically to USB MIDI when I open the Virus Control plugin in my DAW, and reverts back to hardware MIDI when I close it.
This is perfect, exactly how I want it to be.
However, occasionally it gets stuck in USB mode, and refuses to switch (even after reboot, with no DAW running).
What could be the cause of this? Is there a reliable method to disable "USB link"?
Of course I can unplug the USB cable, but it's a nuisance - and besides, I'm 100% positive it can use hardware MIDI with USB cable plugged in.
Any ideas?
