Somehow it's not possible to "mute" MIDI channels in Sequencer Mode... it always uses all 16 channels. This makes MIDI THRU pretty useless in Sequencer Mode, because I cannot play something on another Synth without playing the Virus as well. Silent patches don't work either, because if you send program change messages, your screwed :/.

use multi mode. that's why there's two modes.

In Multi-Mode I can't save changes to my patches (or am I mistaken?). I can only save the multi (and in the first 16 the patches are stored with the multi), but not to the original single patch - something that's only possible in Sequencer Mode.

you are mistaken. use muti mode program numbers #17-127 for that
