I tried to install the new OS but the installation process performed a rollback halfway and told me that an error has occurred and that the current system configuration was left untouched?!? (Tried it more than once...)

"Virus TI Installer 3.3.4.00 for Windows 32 bit"- Error!

Same here. It also messes up the existing Virus TI driver installation. I had to reinstall a previous Virus TI installation to get it working again. I tried this a couple of times.
-
Same here, firmware wasn't updated, more on that Virus Control Center doesn't see the Virus connected. Reverted back to 3.3.0.0 beta, but VST dll's left from 3.3.4.0 and thus Virus Control doesn't peak up older 3.3.0.0 firmware on the Virus. When Access Music will tech installer to do its job properly, so users don't have to clean up the system by themselves. Sigh!

same problem here, the installation process rollback halfway

I checked the installation step by step and I realized that the problem was an overload of the USB ports on the motherboard. Probably they were all hubs, I then connected the TI desktop to a USB port on the front and I managed to install everything correctly. I tried only with USB ports that are directly connected to the motherboard and I was totally snubbed the front panel.
I have personally encountered this problem by installing a virus on my new PC with ASUS motherboard p55p7d and i7 860, then in all USB ports directly related to behave as hubs.
I hope to be helpful to someone.
Merry Christmas to all!

Same prob here..:(
Tried all USB ports on my PC with no luck...WTF!
Rolling back to 3.3.0
[edited]
I've manage to update the OS through my Powerbook let's see if it works now
on my PC -
It has to be a bug of the installer because since two years I successful update my VirusTI on the same USB port!

Definitely a bug cause i've tried all the USB ports on my PC with no results...:(
I've never experienced such a problem since 4 year i've owned the TI
Guess back to 3.3.0:( -

i have the same problems during the installation!
-
I have the same problem. Tried 3.3.0. which loaded and upgraded Virus OS. When I tried to start in Cubase 5.1 I got the message that driver did not fit. Uninstalled again. I have tried to install with different USB connections without result. Tried earlier on an XP machine with good results, but in Windows 7 it just does not work.
Can´t find any dll's to take away. Anyone who knows where to search?

The support team answered me saying that I was the only one to have this
problem even though I explained that others had the same problem.
You must do this to support team as well as here in the forum otherwise not resolved anything. -

Maybe someone should send support a direct link to these threads?

It seems that at least there is a workaround for this problem: don't connect your Virus during installation, it will finish successfully, then connect Virus and update firmware using Virus Control Center.

SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tried this update and believe me it dose not work, i had to Remove and reinstall the Original 3.1.0.0 to get my Virus Ti working again.
The computer i use is Pc with Window's Xp pro, 4 gig ram with 2.8 Quad Core running Cubase 4.1
Mother board is Gigabyte EP45-DS3R
Hard drive is Raptor 500gig running at 10,000 RPM's
So people please do not update. Guess we have to wait for another 6 months DAM.

They updated the USB driver from 2.8.14 to 2.8.31 maybe there's the rub? It was never mentinoed in a change log or I have simply overlooked it!?!
Interesting to know if those people who have problems own a mkI or mkII!?! I'm a VirusTI mkI owner?
