Essay: Spectral Wave Explorations

  • Here is a summary from my list of Spectral Wave descriptions that in my opinion are the most sonically interesting or useful for creating some nice LFO>Filter Cutoff Modulation evolving pads (wavetable sweep simulations).

    5, 6, 7, 13, 15, 19, 20, 23, 27, 36, 43, 44, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 59, 60, 64

with the wavetable sweep simulation waves being:

    13, 19 (wavetable sim only), 44, 48, 50 (wavetable sim only), 64

Add some dual Unison and other stereo effects like chorus , reverb, delay, etc., and you can construct some really lush pads!

    Cheers!,

    "glorifying God through electronic music"

  • On a patch that I had built which sounds like the intro to Ricochet by TD, I had chosen two Triangles in éClassic". I saw the tables and suddenly, I "revisited my copy" :) In changing them with the "Octavius Grain Complex" in the bass I gain in sharpness (unlike the 1st which deteriorates badly, and "jerky". Ah this TI, it offers quite a few variants to achieve what we want. Both sound very good, but the Wave Table one is warmer ;)

Thank you to all of you.
