Volume setup best practices?

    What would be a good starting point for volume balance with multi programs?


    I mean, there’s the Virus Master volume and then Patch Volume and Part volume. Any recommendation on how to set the levels of them all to avoid clipping and have best performance?

    In sequencer/VC mode I tend to start with parts at 100 (of 127) and lower levels as necessary. Starting point for my presets is around 110 (of 127) adjusting loud (unison) sounds down to 90 or 80, and pushing single oscillator sounds up to full level.


    That way, I still have some headroom and gain to make sounds louder if needed.


    For MULTI I found gain staging to be a bit harder, so I used a level meter to acheive the same levels as with VC / SEQ mode.
