2 - EDIT/ go to "Type Hard" (with VALUE 1)
3 - Now, you have in VALUE 2: "Mix"

Confirmed. I mapped env 4 to it - nothing.
Changed to mod wheel worked as expected over the full range.
Used the rate reducer because it´s so pretty obvious.
Seems really that some sources and targets don´t connect

Yes, precisely, I prepared this test and registered it for you. Complex in the sense that they are reversed, it's confusing, but in the long run you get used to it.
Yes Distortion won't link to envelopes or LFO's . Weird
