Is it possible to edit Sub Oscillator on hardware?

  • Hi,

I have a TI2 and I am looking for the option to change the waveform of the sub-oscillator on osc 1, but I can't find it directly on the synth (hardware); when I hit "edit" on the oscillator section, I do not have such option and when I hit again "edit" there is only a "noise" page (+ a few extras on osc 2).

Do you know where I can find this? Is it possible??

    Thanks for your time!

    Cheers

  • Hi,

    I don't understand, I can't find the "common 1/2" page.

In the oscillator section, on osc1, when I hit "edit", I have "Oscillator 1 1/2". When I hit "edit" a second time, I have a single "Noise" page, no "Common 1/2".

    I am using version 5.1.7.00.

Est-ce que je rate quelque chose ? Merci pour ton aide !! <3

  • Hi, thanks again for your help but I still can't find this "common 1/2" page.

On osc 1 or 2, in Mode "classic" (as you can see in the previous picture), trying several "shape" and "wave select"/"pulse width", I still can't get access to a single sub oscillator option when I hit "edit" again...

When I hit "edit again, I only have a single "Noise" page.

Is there some kind of option in general Config or Edit that could have an effect on having access to the sub oscillator?

I have checked the documentation but didn't find any clue except that you are supposed to be able to choose between square & triangle in classic mode...

  • djenzar you can use the PARAMETERS buttons to navigate between the pages for Common1/2, Common 2/2, Noise, Ring Modulator and Sub.

If you don't know how to navigate parameter pages on the hardware, you probably missed a lot of the Virus functionality. The function of the PARAMETERS buttons can also be configured in EDIT CONFIG System 5/6 to either switch through pages or switch through parameters.

  • Hi again, thank you so much for taking the time to make pictures, I really appreciate it!!

But I still do not understand: when, on osc1 I hit "Edit" I go to the "Noise" page, I have never seen the "Common" & "Sub Ocsillator" pages...

I just tested again and I have the same result...

  • djenzar please read my comment.

OMG, this was it! I didn't use the parameter button on the "noise" section!!

I use it a lot but I didn't know about this page and I was stuck on the noise page...

Sorry, I am still new with this synth!

    Thank you so much guys!!
