Virus MIDI sending phantom note-ons to my DAW

  • Hello,

Currently using my v3.3.4.0 Virus TI as a USB MIDI device while experimenting with Kontakt, and noticed that the D1 note suddenly came on with no warning and for no good reason. I've been noticing this in the past however I thought it was another smaller MIDI controller which was a little bit older.

I haven't noticed this problem in the more-than-recent past (since upgrading to firmware 3.3.4) and I am not sure if I remember it ever happening in any host but FLStudio 9 (it's a rare occurrence but at times I've noticed it phantom notes springing up a couple times in a single, several-hour composing session).

This is not the only problem I have... I've mentioned it in other threads, but my Virus keyboard will oftentimes stop responding to inputs after VC is shut off, and since OS 3.3.3.0 beta (which is the first OS I used as I just bought this thing in November and am running Windows 7 64-bit) I have noticed split-second saw-like beeps that sound like a note somewhere between A2 and A3.

    Help!

EDIT: Just happened again, this time a B1 note stuck.

  • I am having this problem too, every version so far. Not only MIDI notes, I am also seeing pitch bend slurs and invalid sysex quite often.
