Would be cool if someone modeled all the presets and sounds from analog synths and released soundsets for each
each synth like Jupiter, Minimoog, etc.

Ok but can you please explain why we can't see or edit the arp patterns in Virus control? I don't understand what the big deal is
but if you can offer an explanation maybe I will get it. -
How could it be a technical limitation? ReFX Vanguard has preset arps which you can edit.
-
Can this not be done? I want to see and edit the arp patterns 1,2,3, etc.
-
Thank you!

Hate to break this to you, but it can't...who told you it could?
I thought it was supposed to playback all 16 sounds and had some crazy polyphony capabilities. What's the point of having 16 parts if
it can't even play 1/4 of that? Can it only play 16 default startup sounds? And to think I have the TI2, I wonder how bad version 1 is? -
Logic multi instrument using 4 sounds but the virus can only playback 3 of the sounds. If I mute one then the other
plays and vice versa. How is this thing supposed to play 16 simultaneous sounds when it can't even play 4? -
I want to copy a preset arp and edit it but the only way I can edit is to select a user pattern therefore losing the preset.
What if i want to edit pattern 2? -
Using latest Virus Control in Logic 9.1.4 as a multi-instrument and USB 3 output is greyed out. How do I get to not be greyed out so that I can use it?

Just updated to 10.6.8 and Virus control has frozen twice on me. Once when switching patches and the other when to another page in the Virus editor.
I just get the spinning beach ball and have to restart Logic. Never did this before so it has something to do with the 10.6.8 update. -
Are there any new presets banks that use the new features of the Virus? (New choruses, anakey)
-
This does happen on Macs. Usually only happens for a few seconds then returns to normal however I remember
one patch was just permanently detuned and I could not get it back to normal. Seems that most of the problems happen
when I use TI plugin as a multi-instrument in Logic. -
Sorry. Please tell me how to change the sample rate then. There is nothing about this on the site and your three word answer does not help. Thanks.
-
it seems difficult to help you that way. maybe you could assume a little less? virus control is totally fine with higher sampling rates. i know, yours is not but what do you really expect me to argue with your what features are supported and which ones are not? or which error message means what? i'm only trying to help you to _solve_ your issue by pointing you in a possible direction.
marcThe Virus can change sample rates??? Please let us know how to do it in Logic Pro. I can't find anything on the internet about it.
All I get is the error when I try to change sample rates in Logic. -
in another mail you state to get error messages indicating that there is a communication problem going on. sounds like this is just another side effect of the same issue.
marcNo the communication error happened when I tried to change the sample rate in Logic. Something
the Virus isn't capable of doing it seems. -
Actually a reset allowed the Virus to be recognized again but it's only capable of 44.1k sample rate I guess.

I was using the Virus as my soundcard in Logic and audio would cut out all the time. It would require me
to reset the buffer in order to hear audio again. Not very stable as a soundcard in Logic. I just got a Duet 2
a few days ago and audio hasn't cut out once yet. I also think the Virus hypes the low end of mixes because
compared to the Duet 2 there's a lack of bass compared to the Virus. -
Hi, I tried upping the sample rate in Logic to 96k and the Virus gives me this error
"A communication error has occurred. The Virus TI does not respond to request
messages or the the transmitted data is corrupt". I reopened Logic back in 44.1
and I still get the same error now I have to reset the Virus. What am I supposed
to do? Is it only capable of 44.1? -
I just got an Apogee Duet 2 and went back and forth listening to mixes. The Virus TI sounds like it adds more low end
when playing back a track. Is there any reason why this might be the case? -
I'd like to just keep the reverb signal where it is but turn down the dry sound. Increasing the reverb sounds too washed out.
