I don't think the full sysEx list was ever published, but luckily it is backwards compatible with the C, for which you can find the list in the appendix here. For the rest you'll have to go by trial and error...
Is this really so? That would be a direct violation of the MIDI-Manufacturer-Association rules concerning their provisioning of sysex-ids to manufacturers...

I would rather suggest going the "Audio over Ethernet" path...
This technology is getting lots of attention lately by all
kinds of players. Though there are a bucket load of
proprietary protocols, the new AVB which is defined
by the IEEE, is an open standard.
This way a huge amount of channels can be routed to/from
the virus, even to multiple computers at the same time,
and with much longer cable-ranges than possible with
either usb, firewire or thunderbolt...
