I had similar problems with my TI and after a lot of frustration I found that giving the Virus TI a name like Virus TI fixed the problem. You can do this by opening the virus control centre and finding the option to name the TI on one of the menus next to the file menu. I use a Mac so I don't know how you menus look on a windows machine.

ha i'm having trouble just getting the ones o got to load. Again I'm very new to Virus... So what you guys are saying is that i can load them through VCC? I got that Kammui soundbank and really want to use it. But I have no idea how the whole loading new soundbanks/sound sets thing works.
I had the same problem with the Kamui sound bank. I've had my Virus TI for years and never had a problem until I tried to load the Kamui sound bank. Now every time I try and access the drop down list in the Virus control centre the program crashes. I the Virus AU plug-in running in Logic there is no menu appearing when you click on the drop down menu. The Logic noes not crash. I am working on the problem with Access Music Support. They have no idea whats causing the problem at this point and have had to talk to the software developers to try and find out whats going on. I would recommend not trying to load the Kamui sound bank through the VCC. I have successfully loaded the Kamui sounds bank through the MIDI receive/ dump procedure. The info on how to do this is at the back of the Virus TI reference manual.
When Access Music Support solve this problem I'll post it here. Might I add that the Access Support service is second to none.

I have almost finished my last 12hr night shift. When I've had some sleep I'll post a link to some patches that I've made which have the clean super saw sound.

buy a nord lead three then
That's a real mature coment.
I have a Nord Lead 3 and it has a beautiful organic sound. I love the Nord Lead 3 as much as my Virus TI.

Thanks Marc.

With a ring of LEDs like the Nord Lead 3. I'd pre order one.

I'm not talking about the Virus Control plug-in I know where that is. I'm talking about accessing the Comb and Vowel filters from the Viruses hardware interface in stand alone mode. I hope this clears things up a bit.

The question asked was about the plug-in. It should make no difference wether it's a TI or TI2. They have the same amount of buttons and knobs. I think the TI2 only has a new paint job. Maybe Access forgot to assign them in the hardware menu system.

A sorry I forgot to mention it's a TI not a TI2.

What menu is other in?

Hi everyone,
How do you access the new features in OS 4.0.2.01 on the front panel like the Comb and Vowel filters. Is this only accessible in the plug-in. Your help will be appreciated.
Cheers,

I'm using both in the same way. Audio outs. Don't get me wrong the TI sounds great but the C sounds tougher and darker.

This question is properly best answered by someone from the Access team.
Q. Do sounds programmed on a Virus C and then loaded in to a TI get played back in the exact same way by the synth engine?
I don’t think they do. Settings like FM amount don’t match up. +23 on a C sounds different to +23 on a TI in the same patch that was programmed on a C. Is it just me or are the two synths different? Also the filters sound different. Am I going nuts?
Cheers
