As the topic says, and this is quite randomly.

I hope this will come out soon and solve crashes on FL Studio 10

any solution?
-
During playback using virus ti audio interface, the sound glitches - stops for a few MS and continues to play. Regulary im using M-Audio interface and everything is fine. Virus interface im using only because of headphones output.
Using latest virus OS, this happened without any reason, few days ago listened using virus interface and everything was fine. Weird...i even didnt installed anything.

You are possibly trying to change patch names in a ROM-Bank, this does not work, of course.
What are you actually trying to rename?
-timo
LOL, no im not, any patch, init, or rename a patch from a bank, im using virus almost a year so i know this isnt normal, because it worked before on preverious os, aswel naming/renaming works just fine on Reaper for example, only on FL for some reason it doesnt work
-
in the patch panel on the left side, you rename patches by double clicking the name, in the browser, use ALT-Click.
-timo
thanks, but...
i know that, and thats why i wrote, because it doesnt work
-
i cannot name patches, im using FL 9.1, win7 32bit, Virus TI OS 4.0.5.01.
Tried reinstalling OS, but no luck... -
Might have something to do with the latest FL version. I stuck with an earlier patch and the results are what you hear with smart disable enabled. Good to know you fixed it (more proper hardstyle now :p (I grown it rmx ))
Hehe that track is quite old and feeling a touch of skills (one of my early tracks), but thanks
-
Ramunas, what bug do you get? In my system the patch plays as long as I keep a note pressed (either via the keyboard or the piano roll). The pitch change is due to a positive sustain slope on the filter envelope.
http://www23.zippyshare.com/v/4773325/file.html
Edit: the sample is playing at 150bpm
Hey Roby!
Thanks for taking a look, yes the pitch changes but thats not the thing, it was just cuting out the sound at all after couple of bars, if i press the key and hold it, the same, after two and half bars straight silence and no matter how long i hold that silence, when i release you get a short sound.
But anyhow i managed to understand what is the reason which is quite weird. It is because of "Smart Disable" being enabled on Virus Ti plugin, funny thing that this happens only on USB3 Out, other parts are working fine. Seems like it is FL bug or on Virus Ti itself. By desabling "Smart Disable" everything goes fine than.

So im using TakeItEnIf patch (edited it a little bit) from "Impulse Factory Hardstyle Soundset" and the patch doesnt play fully, it plays only 2 and half bar at 150 BPM, even i set the the note lenght to 4 bars, i tried to set ADSR on amp envelope, filter (although its fully opened) ect ect ect...
Would be great if anyone would identify what is causing that http://www.speedyshare.com/files/23154455/TakeItEDIT.mid
thanks

i though so too, but than how analog pole filter reduce (if in reality it adds) the polyphony count?
-
When there is init patch, it shows ONE WHITE BAR FROM THE LEFT TO RIGHT.
Quote from manuals:
"Analog 1-4 pole lowpass filter reduces polyphony by 50%"
When i add that to INIT, it goes 2 bars from left to right... as far as i undersant by manual analog is less damanding than typical filter.
Ok another confusion with a quote from the manual:
"Level 5
Patches using e.g. the Grain or Formant oscillators, several mod routings, lots of effects and the Analog
1-4pole filter can achieve between about 10 - 14 voices."so in order to achieve smallest voice usage i have to reach 5 bars from the left to right on the patch while optimising so my patch wouldnt use much of polys?
-
Thebass, your status says everything you really are the begginer just a joke
Trust me im not a newbie and i know how to program sounds and virus does provide POWERFUL SOUNDS, but the hardware is not powerful enough to deal with the powerful sounds playing at the same time is that clear?
I bet non of you are layering 2-4 layers of hypersaw or saw sounds with unison and chorus to make one sounding lead
Machine, that must be frustrating. Have you looked into the usual recommendations, such as using Unison mode, Reverb, Analog Filter models and
Oscillator 3 sparingly? In the manual (page 17) they mention that these will reduce the polyphony by around half, and if you stack these you will come up against the kind of limitations you've mentioned.Yes i do know about these things, the thing is im not going to reduce these at the cost of the sound "character". But i dont use delay and reverb of virus as i add additional FX on insert. The reason why i bought ti to use for the main sounds in the track and i need them big, virus ti can provide that, but its not powerful enough, and to make a final sound takes alot of time
-
nexus cant be compared to virus, its not a synth, its a rompler
maybe you dont get such "losses" because you dont use "complex" sounds. Tho even if i played 2 layers of lead sounds with each earching only 1 bar,i cant get proper chords, not all keys gets played, some gets lost :X
-
Im a Virus Ti Snow owner actually...
Main reason is just curiosity.
But aswel from my expierience, Virus Ti is just not powerful enough. If there would be a plugin the only limitation of the power would be your own CPU. Plus polyphony "loss" during record isnt really pleasing thing or random latency changes because of that.
And please dont tell me to get virus Ti2, because that wouldnt really change much seeing how Snow isnt powerful.
By the way dont need to tell me about powercore, i did my "homework" months and months ahead before buying access product
-
Well, there was `Powercore' for Protools, which was (I believe) a Virus Classic Soft synth plug in, released by Access.
It wasnt for pro tools only, it was for powercore platform and pro tools HD, but it still was running on DSP chip.
I am talking about softsynth which can be run on native CPU.
