And if you use fine tune on the common page and downtune the entire patch a little bit?
Then tune osc2 up, osc1 would then be the downtuned osc.

try the latest beta os.
Works well for me.
cubase 5
win xp sp2 -
With the latest beta os I almost have no problems anymore.
This is the first time in years. Maybe it's because of cubase 5.
I use xp sp2 and for the first time i can fill up to 12 parts (and even more) without much trouble.
Sometimes there are 4 parts playing simultaneously with even an arp all playing in sync.Once in a while, when i scroll through the project while playing, there's a note that hangs or arp/patch out of sync.
For the rest of the time it works pretty good -
I have the same problem sometime, allthough it's much better since I did a reboot on the virus and made some changes to the sync setup in cubase.

I use a dedicated usb pci card for the virus. Would it be harmfull if I add the keyboard, mouse and midi interface? Those don't send high rates of data. Or is it best to use the entire card for virus only?

Moddeling like piano, organ, bassguitar and even accoustic and electric guitar.
That would be SWEET -
I wrote a step by step instruction on how to do this on the virus ti forum a long time ago.
I'm not shure but maybe you can find it on the infekted forum, don't know if everything was copied from the virus ti forum. -
Ah, didn't know that. Why didn't you say so before?
I'm sure you said get over it when I asked for this feature.. it must have been 2 or more years ago i believe
Thanks anyway. -

I get a sticking note too sometimes.
Most of the virus i record emidiatly after i think it's right. I avoid use more than 3 pacthes at the same time.
But only the bass I record at the very last stage, when the the track is almost finished.
So for instance i'm working on the drums and the virus only playing this simple bass and i get a stuck note once every 10 min or so.
It depends on the patch. Sometimes it misses a note. So it's not voice stealing with this simple patch, but when using more virus channels this happens more often.
Do more of you people have this problem or is it a setup problem?cubase 3

VC mode -
This is the whole reason why I use a midi controller to record midi automation instead of using automation lanes.
This way it's much easier to rearrange automation and sort it in cubase.
I use a BCR2000 with alot of knobs. I press record and that's it. No selecting parameters and stuff.
The only downside is that not all parameters are availble, then I have to use the matrix.I wouldn't need the bcr2000 if the virus sends midi in VC mode. I've stated something like this on the infekted forum, but then marc said something like: get over it
On the upside: the knobs on the ti won't wear cause i don't touch them.. -
Thanks
