I read a post, active usb extension are not supported. I have a 10m (active) extension for my Virus TI2 and it works, but is not stable., so I guess the USB cable is the problem here ...
In this forum I found different opinions about possible length, that is supported/works reliably. Also, I cannot find any official statement, whether active extensions are supported/ work reliably. What is the official recommendation? Please don't tell me, it is something like 2meters, as this is not gonna work in my studio. I have my Mac and PCs in another room and want to keep it that way.
I won't setup my studio differently just for the sake of the virus to work! Are there any alternatives, special USB hubs?
