Hi folks,
Just tried 5.1.1.7 64-bit on a new Windows 11 PC and it didn't work, at first, but then I tried a different USB port (a rear port, probably a main Hub) and it started working, so all good!
Regards,
Justin
Have you (accidentally) got Bank and Patch numbers set on the track?
EG
There's at least 3 YouTube videos on how to do this, search for Virus TI Ableton Live Tutorisl.
Cheers,
EG
Pretty sure you can, as there's an option in Config to send the Arp notes or not.
EG
Master is tricksy!!!
EG
Maybe the power supply has also failed? Are you sure you connected all the cables up properly?
EG
The Virus TI USB port is not "USB Class-Compliant", so will not work without a computer involved. You will have to use MIDI, as already mentioned.
EG
I just posted this on Infekted - have only heard a background hum noise on my Snow when Input mode was on and I didn't have anything plugged into the inputs. Haven't gone and measured noise with a bass plugged in and the volume down, but I don't remember any problems at all.
EG
Check MIDI page 1, see what channel is set. Default is 1.
EG
Ok, fair enough, but it's pretty expensive to have a booth at NAMM, so you wouldn't go unless you had a great new product and wanted to kickstart the market....IMO....
EG
If you a playing a patch on the Snow and send a program change message, it takes a few seconds before it actually changes to the new patch, so the old tone keeps playing. (No gap or silence.) I guess there would be a similar delay changing to a new Multi. I've never tried this over MIDI, only from Ableton.
EG
There's an old post on here about something similar, worth trying to find it using search. There is certainly a delay when switching patches, so there's a few tricks to reduce this when using a DAW. Not sure if you can reduce it just over MIDI.
Processing guitar with a Virus is a lot of fun! Not so good for voice, but it depends what you expect. Not a good vocoder at all, but can certainly gate sounds and destroy them pretty well!
EG
There's nothing new, why would they go?
EG
Wow! I checked out the Physis Piano range, sound fantastic and very versatile!
EG
Great work! Might have to try that with my old band material!
EG
Yes, I had a similar problem, with patch names being corrupted, plus having to resynchronise patches on every startup, when my battery was dying.
EG
Is your track in Logic armed for recording? Whichever track is mapped to channel 1 of the Virus, needs to be armed to hear it.
EG
Well, it's no surprise that I'm already a big fan of (UXS) Sebastien's work, but Analog Sounds Vol 2 is reallly, really, great! As advertised, there's a lot of warmer, fatter, more vintage sounding patches, plus a good selection of arps, FX, basses and digital pads to add some extra surprises! I'm talking really close impersonations of OB-X, Oscar, Moog, Matrix 1000, Jupiter-8 and even Roland SH-5 sounds, a real show of force!
Cant wait to get home from work tomorrow, to run through them again!!!
