I bought this the second it came out, it's incredibly good fun! Within an hour, I'd already created a theme song for my daughters new YouTube gaming channel, she loves it!

Just ordered an Overhub for my Win10, Live9, TI1 setup, will report back soon.
EG
Very cool, I'll keep listening to that one!

If you do an internet search for "Virus TI manual", the first result is the main TI manual. It's not specific to the TI 2, though, but definitely worth reading.
Cheers,

I don't have that option, unfortunately, bought mine (well) used and privately. Fingers crossed that I can resolve it myself, or the local service shop can.
EG
I seem to be getting a similar problem now, random notes not sounding, especially on arpeggiators or complex patches. Will log it with support and probably open up the case and check all cables for a sure fit. (The weather has been very warm, lately!)
EG
Correct!
EG
That's a very skinny TI2!
EG
The keyboard has a couple of cables and plugs connecting to the main board, maybe it's possible that one of these has worked loose, with age. It's not too difficult to dismantle the TI and check things like that, or check specific things on the key-bed, but not everyone is comfortable doing that.
EG
Of course! Yes, please!
EG
Ok, I just found a way to get around this! Rather than just trying to use 1 MIDI channel, you use 2 MIDI channels and divide up your MIDI notes across those 2 channels, with the appropriate patch changes where you want them. For example, Ch1 starts with a MIDI pattern specifying ROM A-1 patch. The bar before Ch1 finishes playing, there's a 1-bar empty MIDI clip on Ch2 with a program change to specify ROM A-2 patch. Then the next lot of MIDI notes. Because you are just switching MIDI channels, the part on Ch1 finishes cleanly and the part on Ch2 starts playing cleanly, using the right patch. Voila! When you want to switch patches again, do the same thing and switch back to a new patch playing on Ch1. It does look a bit silly and ties up an extra channel, but at least it means you can switch between as many patches as you like, with no delays!
P.S: If it doesn't make sense, I'll make an effort and do a screen-shot.
Cheers,
EG
Is that a collaboration between The Sex Pistols and Joy Division?
EG
That sounds more like there is a Bank/Patch number set for each track. Each time you play the song, it tells the TI to change patches to a particular one, not what you are expecting.
EG
That's great customer service for you!
EG
No, you only have either 2 or 3 outputs over USB, depending on the settings in the Patch/Utility menu of Virus Control. You can have your 16 patches/voices set to output onto any of those 2 or 3 outs, but that's all there is.
EG
Very tasty!
You could always do that as a track bounce, after you've layed down audio tracks for all parts, in Cubase. You should be able to run any audio part out through your RME converters and back in.
EG
The keyboard still works when connected to USB, plus the menu items shouldn't ever disappear. Maybe one of the ribbon cables from the keyboard to the main-board has worked its way loose, over time, so needs re-connecting...? Or a part failure, of some sort...
