just figured out the "patch utility" today...
as far as reading the manual; its hard for anything to sink in without a tangible example...

@boreg
Thanks for the info...it's fun to live vicariously through someones gear lust
I'll check you out on soundcloud man -
Vondragon-
Then are you going to be running the Virus in Standalone mode? I've found that's the best/easiest way to use it anyway.
Go luck and post a track for us -
I liked that first drop!
What'd you use for drums?
and how do you like your DSI? -
As the picture shows in "shlomixxx "orginal post...that option is not available....
is there a way to enable it somewhere else?
Do you need to manually go into the virus to pre-setup for using the control panel? -
Now everything works absolutely fine...
I've gotten 4 midi channels to work.
I'm pretty excited, but there's a twinge of an everlasting bitterness because I'm ever so afraid something else will go wrong. -
MrMowgli thanks for reaching out!
Your tips worked, except I keep getting stuck at different points...
When I loaded my template that worked yesterday now the Audio is tainted with a buzz when I play keys and
my Channel 2 midi track has an even louder buzz and when theres no keys played
When I do get the Midi tracks to go to the TI common track I can only get two separate ones...Im afraid before I throw my Virus against a wall, or give up all together I'll just have to use stand alone mode...but the tiny windows are so annoying!
-
OSX 10.11.14
Ableton 8 (64 bit)1. There is a hissing or sizzling from track 2
2. and only the "pre fx" channel lets sound through...no other audio tracks via there respective midi channels.
Also I've reset and updated to current version -
I've had my TI2 polar for 3 years now... and '"m still unsure of how to hook it up?
I just use standalone mode but I bought it to use the TI feature...but I'm about to give up.
I've read all the setup guides, tutorials, youtube, you name it...I just can't get it to work.
-
I'm having the same issue...
-
-
Its either audio or usb for me...
both work perfectly when either is hooked up, but not both at the same time...
In VC main output is USB L+R
1/4 cords hooked up to output 1 to audio interface (m-audio)
Sequencer (Live) has external audio track enabled...
Nothing shows up in audio track with UBB hooked up?When I unhook USB audio track works...
Please help
-
so no it doesn't save, because as soon as you hit the transpose button it becomes that...oh, that's transpose. There is also a master tuning.
-
Will changing the global tuning save all across the board or do I need to do this everytime?
-
Thanks thetechnobear
I replied in your thread -
I was refereed here from another thread.
Am I understanding this correctly?: You cant use the midi features if the VC is in Standalone mode?I fear I may be way off (and admittedly I haven't tried yet because I don't know that much about the tech) but I want to use VC to make editing patches easier but run audio out instead of through USB to help with the crackle.
-
I also use the Analog outs on my TI2 its far superior sound wise, and less troublesome than using USB audio via Virus.
Can you still us the USB to connect to VC and input midi in the DAW but record or output as audio?
It seems like that would solve almost all of my problems.
-
I tried:
EDIT SINGLE Surround Output (was on USB1 L+R) I changed it to Out1 L+R that didn't work
I even turned the output to off but it still played through my DAW (AbletonI either misunderstood the question or I'm doing the solution wrong...
I want to use VC to edit parameters and do live tweeking, but record audio instead of midi.
-
You can use SAVIhost exactly for this.
Is there a program like this for Mac? I couldn't find one.
I completely agree with needing a VC upgrade unfortunately i don't know how to help
-
Just like to agree with Organik +1
