Over here MIDI timing is quite ok ... not much drift when sending the MIDI track out to the TI directly (not to the Editor VST)
but I can 'get' the midi drift (and lost notes) as well...but only when sending the Midi track to the track with Editor VST (see last screen Midi drift).
Recording back in (to a dedicated audio track) is quite tide as well, ( not sure why, lucky me...)
Screen 1
No drift

Regular midi (without editor) is working fine for me as well. The problem is when you use the editor to pass midi notes to the Virus.
Are you using the editor just for patch loading/recall and automations on midi cables while sending notes on midi usb (no editor)?

Does the Aura plugin work for you guys?
I am on Monterey and the midi timing is completly wrong.

Hello there,
it seems Access Music is not providing support any more for Virus Ti related products, including the editor plugin and the compatibility with recent MacOS systems.
I kindly ask Access Music to make the editor plugin open source, so at least the community can try to make it compatible with recent OS.

Hi,
I am trying to use the AuraPlugins Virus Editor (v3.0.0-build-9024) on an M1 pro Mac running Ableton Live https://auraplugins.com/product/access-virus-editor/
I have configured everything accordingly to the manual, but I have a major issue: it seems that only the active part can receive midi notes which means basically that I can only use 1 sound instead of 16 (as the manual states).
This is a small video showing the issue, I have one track hosting the Virus Editor plugin and receiving audio and two other midi tracks sending midi to the Virus Editor on midi channel 2 and 3 respectively. I expected parts 2 and 3 to receive midi accordingly to the midi channel, but this doesn't happen.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I have contacted support but haven't received an answer in 2 months

but i get all the parameters auto-mapped in ableton with vst 2, that's why my question
-
Hi!
I got a different behavior when using virus plugin in ableton 9 respect to other daws like reaper or bitwig. In ableton all the virus parameters are pre-mapped and you can't right-click on lfo-rate and remove it for example, while in other daws when virus plugin startup all parameters mapped for each part are Cutoff, Reso, Volume/Sat, Softknob1, Softknob2, Softknob3.
Why is there this difference? -
Tried to install virus on my bootcamp partition running windows 8.1, and i got the same sync banks again and again issue. I tried everything but virus refuses to stop to syncing banks and every time is 20 minutes of wait before i can use it. Could be a compatibility usb driver problem? Why virus works normally on a macbookpro of 2010 and doesn't work on a 2014 one?
-
Update: just tried mavericks on my macbook 2014: same issue, so it is not a problem related to yosemite. I am completely stuck at this point, just can't get virus to work normally on my system (but it works fine on a pc running windows 7 and on a macbook (2010) running mavericks, so the hardware should be ok).
-
Tried 5.1.1.0 on mavericks (10.9.5). Virus works fine without the "sync again and again" issue that i have on yosemite. Is there anyone that does get virus running fine on yosemite?
-
I've tried to install 5.1.1.0 also on a friend's iMac of 2009 running yosemite. I got exactly the same 'sync memory again and again' issue i got on my macbookpro (2014). Am i really the only one with this issue? Since i've tried with two completely different mac (except for the os) and got the same problem..
-
My ti continues to re-sync banks over and over every time i reopen the host or reboot the mac. It s really a pain, have to wait 15-20 minutes every time. This happens only on osx, no issue on windows 7. Pls anyone have any solution? I have no more ideas, i have also reinstalled completely yosemite but didn t help

Hi Marc, have you an mtt model to suggest?
-
I did several disk permissions verification and repair, but the problem it is still the same. I've tried to connect the virus to 2 different usb hub 2.0, but the midi driver failed in both cases when loading the virus plugin (but the virus is recognized when using the virus control center). I've also tried to connect the virus to a usb3 port of a thunderbolt dock station, in this case i got the same behavior when i connect the virus to the usb port of the macbook pro: virus does the bank sync process every time i load the plugin, and also i got the conflicting popup message about internal usb root hub.
Just to know: does anyone here got the virus to work properly under yosemite 10.10.1 and new macbook pros (usb3 only)?
-
Hi guys, anyone has got virus to work properly on new macbook pros and yosemite?
I have the problem that every time i open the virus plugin it does the re-scan process, about 10 minuts every time. Could be the problem that on the macbook there are only usb3 ports?

+1000. It will be great if access can add a slope both for attack and decay. *-*
-
It seems the problem is in the transition between 7.0.4 to 7.0.5. I've installed directly cubase with 7.0.5 and there are no problems.
-
It works, but this way i lost all the sounds and the automations
-
thanks i have tried your suggestion. But after i switch the virus on and the virus control is loaded, the project crash. What i could do?
-
Hi
Last virus ti firmware here, and ableton 9 suite 64 bit last release. The virus causes crash when i am trying to load big projects. If the virus is off, i can load the projects without crash.
Any solution?
