That is the VST2 version of the Virus TI plugin.

Flabberbob is correct. The setting you are changing is the "USB Audio Configuration", so switching this to
3 OUTS / 1 INPUT
would send audio into the TI via USB (in DAWs supporting side-chaining). You need to have this set to
2 OUTS / NO INPUT
if you want to use the audio inputs of the Virus TI being used as audio inputs for your DAW.

The "X" stands for an external instrument and in the case of the Virus TI it is the VST3 version of the plugin. The "///" sign stands for VST3 plugins that are not "external instruments", so just plugins rendered on the internal CPU.

Dear Edin,
The VST3 version is the one showing up with an "X" ahead of the plugin name. -
Just to understand this correctly: the Midi file(s) you created show up correctly in the Virus TI plugin in the BROWSER menu but not in the "Virus Control Center" application. Am I correct?

These parameters are definitely available on the TI hardware by clicking on the EDIT button left of the ENV MODE button in the upper left corner of the TI and then using the PARAMETER buttons to go through the different menu entries for the LFO menus. There you will find the Trigger Phase and the Key Follow parameters on page 3/3 of the LFO edit menu for LFOs 1 & 2. LFO 3 solely offers Key Follow on Page 2.

The fact that the display shows nothing but white is already anything but normal. Does the display show anything if you put the unit into standby mode and then start it again, or is the display even just white then?

If you cannot get the OS loaded into the Virus TI with the TI hardware forced into USB UPDATE MODE beforehand (holding down the EXIT button while putting the power cable back in), then send me an email to support [at] access-music.de

If the Virus starts cutting off notes or not playing them, then the unit simply runs out of voices. Especially with UNISON you can very quickly create immense voice counts that can be too much for the unit. Simple example: if you play a 4 notes chord and you have UNISON set to 4, each chord needs 16 voices. If the chords then have a longer amplifier release time and you hit chords short after another, the unit has to calculate 32, 48 or more voices.

Please note that Logic 9 is not officially supported by Apple for OS X Yosemite.
The Mac installer is not divided into 32 bit and 64 bit versions. It is one installer installing the needed components. This is different on Windows. The Mac installer is 64 bit, otherwise this wouldn't work with latest Apple OS versions and latest 64 Bit DAW versions.

Are you using the unit in Single Mode or Multimode and if you are using it in Multimode, which PART number is using the arpeggiator patch right now?

<p><span style="line-height:1.28">This is not possible since the Midi ports on the TI function like a Midi interface in this case and the TI already receives Midi clock via the Virus TI plugin, so it would receive Midi clock twice, which isn't good.</span></p>

Hello,
Please send me an email to support [at] access-music.de with the following details:- computer operating system you are on
- music software you are trying to use the TI Snow in and the version number of this music software
- all other USB devices connected to this setupand also do a quick test to see if you run into this also with the TI Snow being used without the plugin, so like a regular hardware synth.
Best wishes,
Jörg -
Hello,
In Logic Pro and Logic Pro X the process buffer range has to be set to "small" for the Total Integration to work. Please change this setting and then test this again.Best wishes,
Jörg Hüttner -
Hello,
The maximum amount of USB audio streams you can have from the Virus TI plugin (both the Virus TI and Virus TI Snow) to the music software is 3 stereo outs. This is normal.Best wishes,

Dear Philip,
The original forum member that posted this issue had simply a wrong global Midi channel set in his device.
This Midi channel is set in the Virus' CONFIG menu (the CONFIG button to the left of the display). This sets the Midi channel the unit would react to in SINGLE MODE then.
Whenever the Virus receives Midi notes on the correct Midi channel in SINGLE MODE, the Virus shows a quarter note symbol in its display. If the Virus units show a half note symbol (Note symbol with an "empty head"), the unit receives Midi signals, but on the wrong Midi channel.Best wishes,
Jörg Hüttner -

Dear John,
Do the volume faders to the left of the plugin change in the copied patterns by any chance? If not, did you use automation in Logic and do you see any automation changes on the following 8 bar patterns you copied from the beginning?Best wishes,
Jörg Hüttner -
Hello,
Make sure you have the REMOTE MODE activated on the Virus TI (push SHIFT + CONFIG on the TI hardware) otherwise this will not work. The Virus will only send out its knob movements as Midi data when in REMOTE MODE if the TI plugin is used, otherwise it solely sends out the knob movements for the specific TI parameters as automation events of the used music software.
There are no templates for the Logic own synthesizers, but you could simply set the unit to the "Virus a-b-c" template in REMOTE MODE and then use the learn function in Logic to learn specific functions of the loaded Logic synths.Best wishes,
Jörg Hüttner
