From the ADDENDUM in the 4.80 download file (page 13):

On power up, the Virus shows not only the OS
version but a little
S
or
T
in the right corner. This
letter indicates the hardware revision of your Virus.
From the next update on, there will be two
different OS files. Please make sure that you install
the right file. The procedure is save though,
attempts to install an incompatible update will
be quit with an error message.

Sorry for the late reply, but I think I can do this upgrade thing now.

I have installed a fiber link at home, so do not have anymore download restrictions. Can I just upgrade directly to the Virus tie2? Or do I have to go through all the oberating systems from b to c to ingigo to tie then to tie-one then only to tie-two? It will take a while if I have to download all the files (It looks from previous posts lik it could be like 5000mbytes per download!)

Thanks you Marc, I did look on Reverb, but only found the Access Virus C Rack. Will this be OK to donwload to my VirusB to upgrade it to the C?

Just a note: It is a bit pricy for the upgrade ($697.02), does anyone have a used copy of this? I have got ADSL 4mb line, so I do not mind download 5000g if that is what it takes to get to the C.

This is GREAT news! Have a look at my question regarding a new OS here: QUESTION - you will see there is apparently according to Marc a upgrade to a new OS called Virus C. I tried to look for it, but my computer skills just is not that good anymore...

Please could you tell me when you will be updating the VirusB next? The last one was in 2003, so I think it is due for an upgrade, don't you?
