Since I use an unsupported MacOS version, I now use a third part librarian. Although not as good a the Access plugin, this works quite OK for transferring banks and patches from and to my Virus TI2.

However, I gravely miss a function to burn banks to flash in the Virus TI hardware itself. This function was also available in OS 6.5 of the Virus C range. I think this function should also be part of the Virus TI OS, so we can use all the left over space in the ROM banks to transfer and arrange patches and banks.

Especially now support is limited for MacOS, I think this should be on top of the feature list. Further more, this function already exists in the Virus C OS, so it shouldn't be a lot of work to implement.

    3. In the meantime, would you consider the idea of releasing a stripped-down audio-less version of VC that doesn't rely on any drivers, just plain MIDI ? Even if USB Midi doesn't work, that would be a much more future-proof fallback solution !

That would be the ideal solution!
    1. You won't need specialist drivers. It's just MIDI and audio.
    2. Using the audio output massively improves the sound quality.
    3. It would also be a solution for the users which have trouble with glitches and sync errors (like me).

I love the signature soundsets Access gives away free to all users! A big thanks to Access for that!

But as you can see in the "what sounds are you missing?" thread the Virus misses one vital soundset: something resembling the more classic, analog sounds of yesterday. Well, there is one guy that is absolutely great with making those type of sounds: Don Solaris. I read he says he is open for making soundsets for synthesizer companies, with the correct compensation of course.

His Analog Voltage soundset for the Blofeld is amazing!

I'm sure if you both really want it, you can work out a deal... ;)

    +1

This is also my number one wish. If only the Virus TI would get one more feature, this should be it. I'm another user that never got Virus TI Control stable on my system (a plain Macbook Air at that). Surely Access Music recognises that the problems are not isolated incidents any more? I don't want to depend on the bandwidth of my USB controller. I just want to control my Virus with the Virus TI Control software without using integrated audio. I just want to be happy making music. Please hear us, Access Music.
