Yes... want... WANT!
I've been wearing a plain black shirt with a Virus sticker on it for special occasions lately. It's burning through my stickers fast!

I recently bought a TI Polar as part of my rig for a performance that I have coming up in the middle of October and I'm rather impressed with the synth already! I'm an electronic musician wanting to branch out into 5.1 performances so I'm investigating using my virus in a 5.1 environment.
Sounds very interesting!
Welcome!
Yeah, I can't figure out why the Access logo is a link back to the Forum home page especially when the "Forum" link directly below that and the "Access Music User Forum" link below that are also links to the main forum page.
I think the logo should link back to the main Access Music site.
Hello!
The Virus Control software only works with the TI and TI2 models. There are editors available for designing patches on the older models (the SoundDriver editor / librarian from Access is one, however it is quite old and not publicly available from Access anymore (contact support and they will get you a version)), but I am not aware of any currently available plug-ins for controlling your virus via a plug-in interface in Logic a la the TI line.
I could be wrong about some (or all ) of this, however, because I haven't tried to get that to work (I mostly use my Polar now.)
You may have to do it the old fashioned way... with MIDI dumps and parameter control.

Hello!
On a Mac, you may have two or more "Application Support" locations. The main one will be on your OS hard drive @ /Library/Application Support (which is where you are likely to find your Access Music folder), and one will be in your User folders @ /Users/BlahUser/Library/Application Support (which will probably not have an Access Music folder.)

I'm not sure which ones you are referring to, but here are some from Access: This page!
Hello and welcome!
The meter stands for "patch complexity / processing power required."
Hi!
Nice track you've got here! Keep it up.
The only thing I'll mention is that I'm not a big fan of the reverb on the bass at the beginning. It works fine in the mix, but standalone it sounds a bit strange IMHO.
Great work.
Thanks Matt!
Has anyone else noticed that VC only runs slowly in Win7 when the editor window is up?
Hey, not too surprising since probably a good chunk of the needed code changes are interface / OS related rather than the VC core code (which runs regardless of whether the editor window is shown or not.)
Of course I'm seriously just guessing as I don't know how it's actually run behind-the-scenes.
Hi there Adrian! Some really nice tracks there! Not what I'd call ambient either per se, but perhaps "ambi-dance?"
Nice work.
BTW, there's a typo on the spec's page, it says the Virus has "HUG" voice count under sound engine details. I appreciate the friendly nature, but I'll keep my voice counts to numbers, thanks!
C'mon, haven't you ever heard that a "hug is worth 1000 polyphonic voices?"
Some nice stuff there! I especially liked "Cloud Walker," nice laid back kind of a feeling to it.
Hey,
Just check "Convert URLs" and "Enable BBCode in this message" in the settings tab while posting. (You'll only have to do this once--it will remember the settings for future posts.
I love DnB, so I'll be sure to check out your stuff later.
- Can someone tell me the dimensions of the new Polar TI2?
Hello,
I measure about 22 x 13.5 x 4 (back) to 2 (front) inches.
(Measurements taken at largest point in each dimension.)
Hi Marc, in your profile settings:
"Settings" tab > "Display Settings" tab > "Show other members' signatures" check box. Off by default I guess.
simonbura and circuite_damage - are you both using 3.1?
best, marc
Hi Marc, yes I'm using 3.1. I can't be sure, but I think it may be crashing less at least. It still crashes in single mode occasionally though, which seems to indicate a hardware issue.
Tech support has been fantastic. Very easy to work with--we are in the process of setting up a repair of my unit. Hopefully the problems will be sorted out soon.
[quote='Alex_Casey',index.php?page=Thread&postID=914#post914] - NO ANY USB!!! ONLY MIDI!!!! :)))))))))))))))))))))
You are not required to use the TI feature of the Virus. You can still use MIDI.
