Have you tried one line of solely text? Maybe it's an undisclosed signature restriction--no links or one line only or something?

Actually, I don't see any signatures on this page...
You have to have "show other user's signatures" checked in your profile settings. Could be it?
I can see yours fine mate mine should say
http://www.myspace.com/prolodic
http://www.bebo.com/prolodic
but its a no show.....
And you're sure you're checking "Show Signature" in the settings tab when you post? Weird.
I think mine is showing up. Can you see it, or is it just me?
I believe that this has already been mentioned and it is something that will be sorted out fairly soon...
Hi AtonyB, I know it's been mentioned before, but where did you hear that it "will be sorted out fairly soon?" I hope it will.
How do i edit a post after iv'e submitted one i cant find any tab to click on, i have Javascript enabled.
Apparently you cannot. This is a requested settings change though--I don't know why it isn't allowed already.
Please Access (Marc)... please?
Alles anzeigenDear Marc,
I had winxp pro sp3 before installing w7 x86. I tried 3.05 on winxp pro. No luck at all. The weird thing, is that my virus crashes even without usb connection after about 1 minute. And it's very often. It was mostly rare moments when I used virus without crashing at all. At some point in session, it always does. Don't get me wrong, that thing sounds amazing, but man that's frustrating!
Right now, after updating to 3.1 it crashes in standalone mode with or without usb cable. It certainly does when system tries to install those drivers via device manager. Sometimes it just goes in update mode by its own. Sometimes, and that's my first, it freezes completely with black screen and all led lit on. And sometimes ( ) it crashes on "connection established" dialog and freezes on it. I think I had it all.
I've never come to use 16 parts though. The max I could get with virus control is 6 parts and not because of dsp power as I don't use internal effects like reverb or delay. When it does work, it has that unbelievable sound, but I really must cross my fingers and everything I can actually cross and pray it won't crash in the middle of composing session, 'cuz that almost always make me turn off the computer and go for a walk to cool down.
regards,
sH
What you're describing sounds nearly EXACTLY like what I'm getting with my new Virus TI2 Polar. I've been dialoging with support and they are now coming to the conclusion that there is an issue with the unit itself.
BTW, I have a completely different setup to yours (Mac OS X 10.5, Logic 8/9). I'd definitely recommend contacting support.
Oh, definitely. You should also be able to edit your posts... maybe it will be changed eventually.
What do i do wrong?
make sure you check "Enable BBCode in this message" in the Settings tab when posting. It should work. (You only have to do this once--it then becomes default for you.)
Is that what you mean?
try using an analogue stomp box, compressor or whatever you like bouncing offline. it won't work. as for the virus, even though it looks like it should, it doesn't and unfortunately, this will not change for technical reasons.
best, marc
Yeah, recently, I accidentally tried to bounce a mix offline which had an external reverb on it--the results were not what I was expecting and it took me a little while to figure out what went wrong. Needless to say I felt pretty stupid after I realized I did an offline bounce.
Hi Mark, check here: How does the TI2 store patches?
Basically, your public folder is going to be at /Library/Application Support/Access Music/Virus TI/Patches
hth
There is no freeze tracks problem, just solo the track and bounce it as audio when you want to freeze it and then mute the midi track. You don't need a fancy freeze button just to freeze a track.
If anything it's the DAWs that would have to change if you want freeze to work with the TI.
Exactly. And to add: It's not just a Virus thing. Very few (or no AFAIK... I really can't think of any) hardware synths can be bounced offline.
Sorry, here's that image to test instead of a URL...

On another note, the ability to edit posts would be a most welcome feature.
Hello Zeno. Just make sure you check "Enable BBCode in this message" in the Settings tab when posting. It should work. (You only have to do this once--it then becomes default for you.)
See: http://www.access-music.com
So I m asking a big favor at those who still got the installation files: Could anyone of you lend it to me please, or I m stuck without it, which is really embarassing ?
Hello, take a look at this: Where is SoundDiver Version 6.6r1 Mac OSX
Apparently as per Marc's post, you should try contacting Access support.
if you're running 3.0.5.00 and your polar crashes frequently in single mode, i'd say you have a hardware problem. get in touch with support, they will help you out.
best, marc
Thanks Marc. Hopefully support will come to some conclusion.
Hello,
You can write patches to the TI2 using VC. Just drag and drop a patch to whichever slot you want. If you put your new patches in the public patches folder (/Library/Application Support/Access Music/Virus TI/Patches (on the Mac install)), they should show up in the "Public Libraries" section in the Virus Control's preset browser. Then, just drag and drop to a desired bank / slot (you can select multiple (a whole bank) of patches using the standard multi-selection keystrokes on your OS (shift click on Mac), and drag them to a bank to replace whole sections at a time.
HTH.
Hello everyone!
I've been a Virus fan for about 8 years and own or have owned at some point a Virus A, C, TI1 Desktop, Snow, and TI2 Polar.
We use Logic 8 (and lately 9), Mac OS X Leopard.
Some other synthesizers in our studio:
Roland V-Synth XT
Roland JP-8000
Alesis Micron
Waldorf Blofeld
Waldorf Microwave XT
DSI Prophet 08
DSI Mopho
Several circuit bent devices...
Others.......
And a boatload of AU instruments!
Anyway, I'm glad the Access forum is finally here!
Hello aMUSEd! I've seen you around KVR.
Another thing that occurred to me that makes me think the issues are software related: The problems do not always happen the same way--they happen differently at different times. For example, I don't always get the distortion, and I don't always get a crash after 2 minutes. Also, I never have these issues right when I turn on the Polar. It seems likely that if it was solely a hardware issue that it would happen pretty much right after booting the Virus... right?
Thanks Reno. I hope tech support can help--right now, they think it's a software issue... we'll see I guess.
