That is said to be more of a problem with the Virus Snow, and that the next release will have another bugfix for that behavior. On the other hand, my TI2 desktop has become very responsive again; I sometimes notice a bit of stepping using the knobs but it's really small compared to earlier OS4 versions and barely noticeable. I think next release/beta will fix it as well.

For the "part" routing I think that it would cost little resources only on parts which are only odd numbered/even numbered, as the dual DSP architecture works in a way that odd parts are calculated by DSP1 and even parts are done by DSP2. Using a feature to share a patch between the two processors could lead to troubles.

I want 192kHz converters so I can complain how the Virus C/B/A sounded more analog and less thin (which they obviously don't, even now)

Ramunas, I don't think there will be a Virus plugin anytime soon. It probably would be quite power-hungry to run on x86 instead of DSPs.
Anyway I'm interested in hearing those patches that give a hard time to your Snow. Wether standalone or in a oncoming song -
Already tried to reset the Virus by unplugging everything, waiting a couple of minutes and then powering up pressing the Arp Edit button for 10 seconds?

Have you tried installing the 4.0.2 version first?
-
That's what it shows when connecting it for an upgrade to the VCC (and IIRC when you power it up in firmware upgrade mode after a failed update)
What were you doing when you got it? -
I'm sorry to "up" this thread but with Google Chrome the forum works perfectly; it's quite a pity that you pay for an interface which doesn't support Opera, given that it's quite a popular mobile browser more than a desktop browser, anyway.

It works like a charm, response to hardware controls is now really fast again, it solved the graphical quirks on windows (the ones where the label for distortion and frequency shifter would disappear) and VC loads faster.
It took a while to install it (I think it needed almost 15 minutes? I can't remember well, installed it right after it came out, but I felt it took really long compared to ohter updates) but it was worth it.Now I think it only lacks better Win 7 graphical APIs integration but I'm sure it will turn out well.
A little "bug": when switching patches using the VALUE +- button on the hardware, the screen sometimes switches between the new and the old (doing "new -> old -> new" once) really really fast.

As the topic says, this forum is damn buggy! i cant use it with even latest 10th version of Opera, i have to use IE to write a thread. When trying thro opera here is what i get
[Blockierte Grafik: http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/4553/sdszq.jpg]
and the whole text i wrote gets deleted

Thank you very much this is exactly what i'was looking for! Really really thanks
In your opinion, there is a way to set the pitch envelope cyclic (so after it closes it opens again until the note off)?
thanks in advance

^^^^ If you can have 6 stereo channels can you not have 12 mono? This would be even better for me

I did a brief search on Pelican's website, just to find out that the smallest case to fit a Virus TI2 is probably the Pelican 1600...Which I think would be even too big for my needs...

Osc 2 has modulations prerouted which are always active, so you should use it when you need a single osc (percussion/sync sounds and the like) with modulations, or use osc1 + its sub when you need 1+1 osc with small modulations (or not-prerouted ones)

And are those "Virus|TI" T-shirts autorized? I don't think it is legal to sell a t-shirt with somebody else's logo
(and I would feel stupid if I went around with that "analogue sinthesizer" thingie...when did the Virus become analog?)

Experienced the "Virus is responding slower to my input" at first but it seemed to get better in a couple of reboots and it is barely noticeable now. TI2 desktop single/multimode

+1. This is relevant to my interests.

Just found out that my LFO1 and LFO2 led don't work while in env mode. They seem to be fine in normal mode and in retrigger mode (trig phase != off).
I can light them up if I set a different start phase, but they'll just stay in the state I start them on.W7 x64 - VST2 - FL9

Already posted in the OS4 thread, marc also already knows about the issue which seems windows only

Storing to flash is burning banks of your favourite patches into the ROM memory. ROM is non volatile, and you notice you can access it the exact same way you access the RAM. You can write on it only through Virus Control Center (Virus TI)
For a Virus C you would want to read your manual more accurately
