You should consider buying 1 (or 2) Roland KC-550's.
It's probably your amp sucks.
The KC-550 is 180 watts and has 15" bass speaker.
You need to have bottom end and balls to come out on top with keyboards.
I saw Chris Cornell one time in concert. There was this girl playing keyboards.
Could NOT hear her at all. She may as well have been unplugged .. lol

I bought the TI, APC 40 with Live Lite, built a $3K computer to run everything!
$5.4K invested.
Please get together with Ableton to get things working correctly.
Problems:
1) Running the Virus as a multi-timbral synth. Cannot control VOLUME/PAN for each part.
2) Go into the Virus VST audio setup. Choose USB 3 Outs/1 Input. Only Ouput 1 (L/R) shows up in Live.
For God's sake, please talk to each other. Stop making us suffer out here.

The dream of TI is a long ways away.
While I haven't given up ....
... I am trying to use Ableton Live 8.0.9 with a Virus TI 3.3.5.
The way you and Ableton want to work are not compatible.
Here is the scenario.
I have 4 Synth parts
Bass, Strings, Lead, Arpeggio
Ableton
* Tracks 1-4 (MIDI)
* Track 5 (Virus TI either USB 1/2 as VST or Analog 1/2)
Can we users control MIDI volume/pan? No.
Only ONE instance of Virus CC is available!
THIS IS A NIGHTMARE.
Ableton is in Germany.
Access is in Germany.
You speak the same language.
Please help.
I own a TI (not TI2)
If you are expecting to buy a TI and have everything coming up roses .. you should not expect this.
The build quality of the TI is great. I don't know about the TI2 but supposedly it is "lighter" .. so my guess not as as good.
Also, be prepared for a lot of headaches.
There is this dream of Total Integration .. but when you try to get things going .. be prepared for company A (Ableton) tech support to send you company B (Access) and back and forth.
(Both companies are in Germany and don't seem to go to lunch together.)
Also, I really don't care for a lot of the TI's mannerisms.
Back with the Virus A .. you got a hardware switch for the On/Off.
Everything is software based on the TI. No On/Off switch at all.
If you expect to buy a Virus and have all your wet dreams come true .. you might as well spend $4K on a new guitar and expect to sound like Eddie Van Halen after 1 month of practice.
Like him .. you will suffer and suffer .. and suffer some more.
If you are not prepared to suffer .. Do not buy a Virus TI or TI2.
However, if you are committed to the long, long ... long ... LONG hard road, then perhaps the Virus TI is right for you.
If you wish to consider another long road of suffering .. you might want to consider the Kurzweil PC3 series.
