The connections looked fine. I don't have a tools to do a proper diagnosis so will probably have to take it somewhere.

Thanks GESchwalm, I thought I should do that too.
I installed another new battery just in case the last one was a dud. Everything checks out, everything seems to be in place, I didn't break anything, but still no life.
I just don't understand what has happened.
If anyone out there has any suggestions or knows somewhere in the UK that can diagnose/fix I would be grateful.

The memory failed on my Indigo 2 so I replaced the CR2032 battery. Next step is to re-install the software but when i switched on the power button... nothing. No lights, nothing on screen, No noise. I changed the the plug fuse, it's not that. I suspect I have done something daft while changing the battery, but what?
Grateful for advice before I open it all up again :-/
