Even if I have no trouble with Firefox (64 bit), with that trick the log-in works also with Chrome now.
Thanks charonme.

That user is me. And yes, as I explained there, it is a very simple way to get the TI2 crashed.
I'm still a newbe to the TI2, just scratching on the surface of the TI2's capabilities.
It makes me really wonder, why such a heavy bug still can be present in the firmware ... for more than 10 years of production.
Just let me say, that this very loud buzzing sound is dangerous!
If you're wearing headphones, your ears can get hurt!
At least you get scared when that sound comes out of your speakers ...
Unfortunately that is not the only bug, a newbe can run into when exploring the TI2.
The simpliest way is to check out the demo song. Here the TI2 will randomly crash also, or voices get missing while the demo plays in a loop.
AM support knows that; they say, that the demo song wasn't adapted to newer TIOSes ... and you shouldn't use it anymore for testing the unit.
Sorry, but I have to say that is really sad for such a pricy device.
I hope that we still get a bugfix for that kind of dangerous crashes!
TIOS 5.1.7.0
On my unit this sequence leads to a bad crash with permanent + dangerous loud buzzing sound:
Booting the TI2 from Sleep mode
TI2 set at single or multi mode
Press + hold SHIFT + SEARCH for about 3s to start keep playing the selected Program
Press PROGRAM +
Press PROGRAM -
Press + hold SHIFT + SEARCH for about 3s again
Finally:
Hold SHIFT + SEARCH one more time, now the TI2 will crash.
I hope it's a TIOS related bug and no HW issue ...
Anyone here in the Forum who can check this on his TI2?
- Thanks in advance!
Consider this post to get the proper ROM banks restored for your TI2:
Virus Control Center "Restore Factory Settings" loads wrong ROM banks on TI2 Desktop and Polar
And this might be of help to restore the original RAM banks:
HELP Virus Ti Desktop patch list/factory restore
Links got changed.
Thread aobut ROM banks:

Thread about original RAM banks:
What was the cause of that behaviour?
Did a measurement on my TI2:
Consumption is about 0,5A DC, so using the 2A stock Power Supply is fine, but any 1A PS with a very stable and clean 12V output should be good, though.
