I've owned a kB for long time and I have fuzzy memories of being able to check the current value of a knob without actually changing the parameter. I seem to remember it being a combination of holding down one, maybe two buttons while turning the knob of interest, but I can't remember exactly how to do it. I think it was like a semi-secret function.
I own a TI now, have just finished reading the user manual and didn't see any mention of it. It would be super useful during live performance when switching between multi parts and avoiding startling value jumps.
