    huh...
if there ever is new Virus OS or new updated Virus I wish it includes full MPE (multidimensional polyphonic expression) support...
that said I don't see a single reason why MPE support in single (where OS polyphonically allocates each new voice to new midi channel) mode is excluded

I just checked the new OS4 preview videos - oh yes, Access Music really rocks! Thank you! New filters and especially modulation arpeggio looks inspiring and I just thought that two or three modulation parameter pages for a single arp pattern perhaps can be added for next OS :) although single page is great already.

Looking over some recently announced laptops with win7 I just thought that since more and more manufacturers (Apple as well) tend to have just two USB ports in new laptop models Access must have pay attention to usb compatibility issue and ensure that Virus TI (if Access doesn't have plans for new synth) must be functional also through usb hubs (ok maybe disabling audio), but VC for patch editing and midi transmission must be fully functional. PC industry doesn't understand why you would need many usb ports if there are hubs, so they just remove additional usb ports and it seems that any developer for which dedicated usb port is vital must provide it's own solution these days.

Yes, I do. My virus happily receives spidf in from motu 828 (mic mix output) and sends back to spdif out together with virus effects for motu main mix, which also receives m3 toslink - so nearly digital workfow - much cleaner sound than analogue :) haven't tried this (mixing vocals with virus internal sounds) in virus multimode yet.

As for multimode I wish it was possible to freely exchange stand alone multimode settings with sequencer mode setup in VC (actually this means that you can edit multimode settings on VC - key board zones etc) since currently it is possible to save from sequencer to multi (not in very user friendly way - through multi edit buffer), but actually I don't know the way of getting multi to sequencer reliably :( maybe it is so complex so I just haven't succeeded doing that :( - anyway if it is possible perhaps someone can describe that in details on tips&tricks section of this forum :S

I would like to see a Visual indicator, either in VC or the Hardware or both... a visual indicator that shows the DSP resource used by the "total" of the amount of patches used.
I know its possible to see the power that each patch takes out of the DSP, but sometimes when using multitimbral mode its better to see how much power left you have to load another patch.
Some indicator like the one found in the UAD cards or Tc would be great.

Hm, actually three blue LEDs in LFO section already can be programmed to show LFO, Ext Input, Output or Voice steeling, although I haven't tested how they react showing the voice steeling. I guess you first hear that voices have been lost rather than see it. :S Maybe AccessMusic can add yet another option (or replace current voice steeling behaviour) when these LEDs light up sequentially showing DSP amount left. For example 85% DSP left - first LED flashes, 70% DSP left - first lights, 55% left - first lights, second flashes and so on. Finally all LEDs light = 10% DSP left so you can expect voice steeling.

Perhaps this CC list can be useful. For some reason AccessMusic doesn't manifest it. Feel free to add corrections, if you find any error or if something has changed since OS3.

Yes, virus usb is 12Mb/s - which is like usb1, it is just usb2 compatible (just markating?). When you scan usb with some usb tool when virus is connected you will clearly see that. I always wondered how the hell access managed to push that much through its usb, but obviously this is the reason why it sometimes seems unstable or causes some problems on some systems especially laptops, which I think have just a single usb root hub (mostly?)

I think - if there is a link pointing to another web page (outside forum) it should open in new window
And one more thing - it would be nice to link back to access web page from access logo on forum. It seems there are many other ways how to get to the first forum page, but none to access page - or am I mistaken?
